Description

Alayna: A book worm, who makes her living writing article reviews on new up and coming authors for a popular magazine.

Cameron: A new, up and coming author who writes under a pen name and whose writing skills are only surpassed by his sex appeal.

When Alayna takes on a new project at work to review a novel by the supposed T.K. Roan (Cameron), her initial email exchange with him has her questioning whether she wants to even give this new author the time of day. Little does she know though, that her work is requiring her to engage in social events with him that will have her questioning every first impression she's had with him so far.

Dear Mr. Roan,
I’m sure you go by a different name given the nature of this project, but that was the information I was given. My name is Alayna Reynolds, and I will be your main contact during the duration of this project. I look forward to reading your book, and will send you any commentary or questions I have. If you have any questions for me, please feel free to email me at any time. I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Alayna Reynolds

Dear Miss, Ms. Or Mrs. Reynolds,
I’m not really sure of the polite protocol on which to address you, so please forgive me. You may call me Cameron, as that’s my actual name. Bring on the questions and commentary about my book. I’m all ears. And you don’t have to be so professional with me, I can take the criticism. So please give me your honest opinions. I look forward to hearing from you as well.
Sincerely,
Cameron

Dear Cameron,
I’m a Miss, never been married. But please just call me Alayna. And are you so sure you want me to give my honest opinion? Seeing as you don’t know me, I can be painfully blunt. I’ve read books that I’ve hated, and yet still had to write a cordial review. So if blunt is what you want, then blunt is what you’ll get. Are you prepared for that?
Sincerely,
Alayna

Dear Alayna,
By all means, please be blunt. Although I’ve received much praise over my former novels, I’ve also received negative commentary as well. You can’t please everyone in this world. And I assure you, your novice review won’t crush me.
Sincerely,
Cameron
P.S.- Never married?...huh…
