An MIT graduate tired of the cramped east coast lifestyle, Serenity enrolls as a graduate student in a small town in Washington State. Just as she is beginning to feel lonely, her professor suggests she hang out with a group who enjoys going out on adventures. But she gets more than she bargained for when she finds out a handsome but very blunt stranger is part of the group.
Like Serenity, Ryland is accustomed to attention because of his looks and profession. The only reason that he hasn’t quit is because of his overdeveloped sense of responsibility. Between work and other responsibilities, he is constantly dealing with things on his own. With the arrival of Serenity, it looks like things are about to change.
When things go terribly wrong on a whitewater rafting trip, will the pair be able to open up? Or are they too entrenched in their ways?
