Nadine Court was a hot mess.

After crashing and burning in spectacular fashion during her debut tour with her band Court’n Jacks, Nadine had gone to rehab to get her…ahem…stuff in order. Now she was ready to try again and hopefully, this time, they might actually finish the tour without her ending up in hospital and on the front page of every country music website in the world. Which was why it was a very, very, very bad idea to get involved with her therapist… former therapist.

Gabe Rousso had thought he had contained his attraction to the feisty violinist. That was until that last session when an innocent kiss on the cheek had turned into something a whole lot hotter. He wasn’t technically her therapist anymore, which was why he’d accepted her invitation to see her perform for the first time since her breakdown. He shouldn’t have gone… but he did and of course that had led to more compromising of his closely guarded ethics. She was a weakness he couldn’t afford and a temptation he couldn’t resist.

This is a standalone romance - no cliff-hanger!

*This is a ‘Too Hot to Handle’ romance on the Emma Lea rating scale - These are definitely 18+ reads and contain graphic sex scenes and high level swearing – not for the faint of heart.

I was surprised at how much I ended up liking Strings. It's sexy, emotional and Nadine and Gabe are not only sexy together, but individually are interesting, engaging characters. I can't wait to read more of this world Emma has created in Music & Lyrics.

Strings: Music & Lyrics Book 3 by Emma Lea is a very good read. Powerful and emotional romance. This blazing hot and sexy read is engaging and entertaining. Nadine and Gabe make a great couple and they have sizzling chemistry. A moving storyline that deals with Nadine's recovery and Gbe's hard struggle with his attraction to his former patient. I am posting an honest review after reading an ARC copy of this book.

Full On

by MJM2003

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Nadine and Gabe are perfect together as long as you remember she is his ex patient and he is no longer her therapist! This is full of sex, swearing and rock and roll or rather country in this book. If you're feeling prudish then this is not the book for you. With strong language and explicit sex scenes that are well written. These all fit well within the storyline which is interesting and believable.

Easy Peasy Giving This Book 5 Stars

I voluntarily read an arc of this book. VI's Booksprout for a fair and honest review. Nadine had been flirting with her therapist Gabe for the last six weeks. Gave, being the consummate professional that he was, ignored her flirtations and did his best to keep professional. His will to do this was wearing thin. The book begins with their last session. Gabe suggested that Nadine keep up with therapy but not with him. For selfish reasons he had to distance himself from Nadine. She was too much of a temptation. Gabe had although, and not regretfully, promised Nadine that he would come to the venue she and her band would be performing at that night. On paper, Gabe was sooo not Nadine's type. But in person, he knocked he socks off. But Gabe has a stalker, an ex named Jeanie an ex patient, who thought she was more than that. When Gabe is asked to tag along on Nadine's tour, in case she needs him, I have to wonder it this again becomes a doctor/patient problem. Other band members will be told that Gabe is Nadine's pretend boyfriend. Nadine wasn't ready to tell her family/band mates the truth about Gabe. Gabe, however, was all in with his feelings, he loved her hard. I love books that feature a crazy ex. Easy least giving this book 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Not just romance

by vamsally

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Initially, this story seems like just a simple romance story between a musician and a psychologist who falls for her. As their romance progresses, surprising story comes into play and the story becomes little more of a psychological suspense rather than just a simple romance. The musician can seem a bit too unnecessarily whiny at times, but after a while the two becomes rather endearing. The story is longer and more thorough in character development and storyline compared to some of the short novels I've read so I enjoyed it more. Voluntary and honest review after receiving ARC (advanced reader copy).

I Loved Strings!

I absolutely loved this story from Emma Lea. It was the first time I'm using this service and reading this author. I was summarily impressed by not only the story but the ease of using booksprout. Now, for Strings! Seriously seriously great story that delves into the complicated and intricate world of mental health and the music industry. No spoilers! Following Gabe and Nadine's love, even through their various conflicts, was heartening. You rooted for them from the beginning. Very well written. Would love to see how the rest of the band fares. Will be looking for more books by this author!
