What do you do when you think you’ve got something special, and then find out you haven't? Kind of like thinking you have a crystal ball and then finding out it’s glass. Or you find out the Book of Shadows you thought had been handed down through generations was bought at an estate sale.
That’s how Destiny felt when she saw through her abusive boyfriend at her surprise engagement party. The next day he was murdered.

going crazy

by Ashley Magruder

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review... Think and Grow Witch is a mysterious and sometimes the laughable mystery book.. this one has a kind of a romantic twist to it I don't like the abusive boyfriend part but it does get solved because he ends up getting killed in the book and then she has to try to find the murder... the storyline is kind of bouncing around in this one... I like all the characters they're really funny and it was a very wonderful book... So I'm looking forward to the next book in the series to figure out what is going to happen next...

Loved It !!!

by Emily Pennington

Destiny was having coffee with her best friend, Abbie. But her mood was off and Abbie was hopeful that meant she was not going to go through with the engagement to Don. No one, not family nor friends, liked Don. He was selfish and miserly. He treated her badly, never praising her, and withholding affection for weeks if she made him angry – which she always seemed to do. His promise of an awesome engagement ring was not likely. Because she could not support Destiny in this decision, Abbie refused to attend the engagement party; Destiny’s family also refused to come.

At the party, Destiny didn’t even know anyone. Don only invited his own co-workers, clients and friends to impress them. As Don was about to pop the question, Destiny sensed someone – the man who had been haunting her dreams? But Don grabbed her to propose, which she had preferred that he do in private, and he put a cheap ring on her finger, not the one she had been promised. When she turned around again, her mystery man was gone. Don made another announcement and asked her to tell everyone where they were going for the honeymoon. Instead of the promised Paris destination, they would be going to Mexico. Disappointed and upset, Destiny wandered off and grabbed an entire tray of meat entrees which she devoured in a corner by herself. Why was she so ravenous lately? Ever since visiting granny’s potions room – and spilling that jar – she had felt strange. Did that cut on her hand have anything to do with this? And why did she keep sensing her dream man nearby?

This was an enjoyable book with just the right touch of humor. And the character, Don, was portrayed so well that I wanted to knock his lights out! Sadly, I know people like Don and they act exactly like that! So well done! Words are powerful manipulators, both on the page and in real life. Anyway, the story line was good and moved along quickly. The secondary characters were well placed and compelling. Adding in a murder to solve keeps the suspense going for the reader. I definitely recommend this book, and I am eagerly waiting to read the next! I received a copy of the book from Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review expressing my honest opinion after purchasing a copy for myself.

Quick and fun read

by John L

This rather humorous take at what would otherwise be a dark and stoic theme about witches and shifters by Maeve Hart is very refreshing. I enjoyed the extreme reluctance the main character shows with her changing life and lifestyle, from murder to safety with a stranger. I am definitely adding the next books in this series to my TBR pile. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Don't touch the bottles!

by Fleur Wilkinson

This was a great read, I really enjoyed the characters and found they developed well over the time of the book, it was great how there were a few stories intertwined as it kept your interest peaked. I was a bit disappointed the story lines all continued in the next book so there wasn't a lot of resolution but thankfully they are available so could read them straight away! :)

I loved this book and this is a new author for me and I took a chance on her book and I am hooked. Destiny is a young witch who never felt as she belonged in her family, sometimes we all think that but Destiny does not feel like a witch or.do spells, she feels uncomfortable around her family and for.years her grandma has talked of killing an alpha werewolf and putting his remains in a jar that Destiny.subsequently cuts her thumb on one day when she sneaks over to her grandmother's house. One night Destiny goes to sleep and dreams of a man that is tall, dark, and handsome and she believes him to be her soul mate but then her boyfriend asks her to marry him and she reluctantly says yes but feels bad afterwards and goes to sit in a corner and eat her feelings and then she meets him mister tall, dark and handsome and hi turns out to be Jacques Hunter don's boss. She later finds out she she has turned into a shifter like Jacques and then don gets murdered. Really good read and I'm off to read the second book.

Not great

Think and Grow Witch was an okay read. Destiny was not a strong character, and she didn’t know how to be independent in any form, despite being an adult. I don’t trust Jacques, and her blind trust in him turned me off of him. Abbie was a good friend, and it made me proud to share her name, albeit with different spellings. The plot was weak, and I felt like there were too many loose ends. 3 stars.

Destiny is constantly trying to make her life one that her never-present father would approve of, and as such, she's never really fit in anywhere. Her fiance, Don, is a right piece of work, and even Destiny acknowledges that he's a horrible person, so when he turns up dead just after their so-called 'engagement' party, Destiny is the prime suspect. Trying to figure out who is responsible, along with trying to sort out her out-of-control life, is keeping Destiny busy enough without Jacques Hunter distracting her as well.
With a HFN ending, Think and Grow Witch is the first in a series about Destiny and Jacques, and is a decent read to help while away a lazy afternoon.

A quirky cozy mystery

This book is a little different from run of the mill witches or mystery stories. It's a bit weird in places and I don't like the part with the abusive fiance. There are some great moments and unexpected characters. However the series does have promise and I think this book will appeal to fans of both witches and crazy mysteries. Definitely worth reading.
