Braxx is a Beast Kindred with a painful past. A traumatic crash stole his brother and his bride from him and left half of his face horribly scarred. Desperate to avoid the pitying and disgusted looks he gets whenever he goes out, he takes a job as a scout, travelling across the universe to find new trade partners and power sources for the Kindred. He thinks he'll never love again until he comes back to Earth and meets Molly.

Dr. Molly Reynaud has a doctorate in Cultural Anthropology. She's also completely blind and has been since a car accident stole both her parents and her sight at the age of sixteen. Chosen to do a field study on the elusive Tal'ossi people from Tal'os Trenta, she doesn’t expect to have feelings for the Kindred warrior who is supposed to guard her there. But she can't seem to help the instant connection she feels to Braxx and she knows he feels the same for her.

But he's scarred on the inside too and he tells himself such a perfect female isn't for him.
Then the unthinkable happens--Molly is kidnapped by the Deep Dwellers of Tal'ossi and taken down to the subterranean depths as a bride for their leader. Braxx must go after her and suddenly the idea of claiming turns from a wish to a necessity.

Can Braxx overcome his tragic past and save the woman he loves? And can Molly convince him they belong together? Both of them will have to practice Seeing with the Heart or they will be parted forever…

Wonderful story!

As usual another great installment to the kindred series. I'm never shorted the full package when it comes to these books. You get a great plot, deep characters that make you want to be their friend, and a love story that you root for from the first few pages. If you love a scared/damaged hero I highly recommend this book! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Love is blind

by CHRISTINA ISABEL ROGERS

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This book is amazing.
Braxx was disfigured trying to save his brother. Molly was blinded at a young age. Both are anthropologist and Molly has just been given her first off world assignment. After her assistant backs out Braxx goes with her. What ensues from here is a twist and turns story that you expect from Evangeline.
It's truly a story of learning to look with your heart and not with your eyes.

One of my favorites!

by Anonymous

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This might be one of my favorites of the series. Molly is a blind anthropologist, looking forward to studying the people of Tal'os Trenta. When her assistant, who happens to be her "eyes" for the study, ends up at the hospital with her fiance who was in a car accident, Molly has to go to the planet accompanied by a Beast Kindred, Braxx, who not only has scars on the outside but deeper scars on the inside too. They find an instant attraction to each other that each of them works to fight, but once they hit the planet surface, everything changes. And Seeing with the Heart takes on a whole new meaning.

I love the author's take on the anthropologist's disability. The female protagonist is strong and determined. She doesn't allow others to run over her, and she's outspoken. It is a respectful perspective while staying true to what the attraction of meeting the Kindred's one true mate involves. Braxx is also wounded in a way that not only makes him feel the effects of the accident he was in on a daily basis, but he has a sense of overwhelming guilt over it. This is a steamy, sometimes heartbreaking story that brings all of the feels. It was exactly what I expected and then some. I'm looking forward to what the author comes up with next.

Fantastic Series

by LTODD

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review no minority compensation was received the opinions I have expressed are my own. I have read all the books in the Kindred series I have to say that this book might be one of my favorite by far. I'm so use to the heroine being so indecisive so insecure and not knowing if she wanted to be truly mated or not it was so refreshing to see that it was actually the hero Braxx with all the issues. Of course Molly has emotional pain too but she was able to come to terms with her pain, but Braxx has buried his so deep. I loved the adventure these two experience and the way Molly didn't let her disability define her as person and the way she help Braxx come to terms with his making this a fantastic story. Overall a enjoyable and entertaining read looking forward to reading more books in the Kindred series.

The story of braxx and Molly is a very touching one. I love how they were both able to heal each other and fall madly in love. Truly what matters is a person's heart, not what they look like and it also doesn't matter if one has a disability. Love is stronger.

**Received ARC from Booksprout for a fair and honest review**
Seeing with the Heart is part of the Kindred series and can be read as a standalone. While there are characters from previous books that do come up, I always think it's best to read the books in order. The author does a great job of ensuring you know who and what everything is in case you haven't read the other books.
I loved this book and couldn't put it down. The author has such interesting storylines, it's not all barbie type women that you read about either. Dr. Molly Reynaud lost her vision tragically in a car accident that killed her family. Traumatized at first by the loss of her sight at 16, she worked hard to get past it and went on to become a Cultural Anthropologist. Now she's ecstatic she's got the opportunity of a lifetime to go a another planet and study their culture. Commander Braxx hasn't had the easiest life either. While on a ship they crashed and Commander Braxx lost his brother, and his betrothed decided to walk out on him. Scarred and bitter he doesn't think anyone will ever want him with his horrific scarring.
This book was very difficult to put down. I really enjoyed the characters, their chemistry, and the storyline. Molly's character, her caring, kindness and strength really appealed to me. The author does a great job of really getting across the trials that someone without sight faces. I have a friend that lost her sight and it really felt like the author did her homework for this character. I really enjoy this series tremendously and can't wait for the next book in the series! Hope this helps! Happy Reading!!!

Finding their way in the darkness

What an amazing story. This is probably one that I find a little more dear to my heart. This was about two souls that were trying to find their way. Molly was one that had excepted who she was but I have to say I feel like she felt love was not for her. For who wanted a blind person, well at least in my eyes that is what Molly thought. Braxx well he was damaged in more ways then one and the pain he carried will just break you heart.

I just loved Molly. She was this sexy curvy woman. She had so many challenges in life. She was blind. I loved that we got to see some of the struggles that blind people goes through. I personally know due to having a blind friend and find myself asking her questions all the time. So many times we take things for granted and I think this book shows the little thing in life that can be a struggle for some and be taken for great by others.

Braxx is a beast Kindred. Hello, how sexy is that. Braxx was so perfect for her. Braxx knew what it was like to fell unworthy of love. Braxx also knew what it was like to have felt loss. Molly had lost her parents and her sight at the same time. Braxx had lost his brother and gained physical and emotional scares.

The goddess has plans for these two and at times you might be worried if things will work out. I love that these two are automatically attracted to each other. Braxx will do what every he needs to do to protect her. That is one thing I love about the Kindred is that they are protect of their females even before they realize that female belongs to them.

This was a great story and glad I got a chance to read the book.

Thoughtful, insightful story

I Very much enjoyed this book. I often wonder where Evangeline comes up with these ideas. She had to have studied how to think as a blind person. From the blurb, we know that Molly is a blind Anthropologist preparing for a mission to study the Tal'ossi. A race unknown to the earth and the Kindred. Her assistant cannot go with Molly at the last minute, so Braxx, a Beast Kindred who discovered This race goes with her to be her "eyes". We find that each has deep emotional pain. She has dealt with hers, but Braxx has buried his deep, and the story develops from there.
They also have an instant attraction to each other.
When they get to the planet things start to heat up. I don't want to tell you what happens because I learned the secrets of this book a step at a time, and I don't want to dilute the intensity for the reader. I can say if you have read any other of the Kindred books, you will not be disappointed. Don't pass up the opportunity to immerse yourself in a new culture as told by Ms.Anderson. If I could have given this 10 stars, it still would not be enough to express how deeply I felt the tone of this book. A disability does not define a person, nor does it diminish that person. Being mobility impaired myself, though not in the same way as Molly, I appreciated that the Author delved into the steps that one has to go to in order to live as normal a life as possible. The emotional baggage Braxx carries is enormous, and he will need to come to terms with it.
Evangeline has stated that she sometimes gets ideas from her readers. I love that. I wish that she could find a Kindred for a woman with limited mobility. In closing, let me say that the only problem I found was that it ended too soon.

Great Kindred Tales novella about Molly and Braxx who have similar tragic events that changed their lives but helped draw them together.
The adventure that brings them together with intense attraction and feelings maybe what separates them.
Always enjoy visiting the other Kindred wives and families aboard the Mother ship too!

Wow!

Seeing with the heart really wowed me. I was worried it would go too quick, as many novellas do, but this was well written with characters who were deep and thoughtful.

I absolutely loved this. Out of the kindred novels, this is now top 5.

An exciting and hot alien romance

by Raina

5+ stars. I love these Kindred stories. Evangeline is a goddess for writing such steamy and action filled books. I think I'm addicted to them and can't wait for the next. Highly suggest for any readers who enjoy alien romances.

The title is perfect for this story. The two main characters are both strong. She was blinded at 16 in a crash that killed her parents. She grew from it and became stronger and a wonderful person. He was scarred in a crash that left his brother dead. But he hides from the pain and his heart. She is about to change everything for him.

I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of the book.

Love Molly and Braxx!!

by Jill

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I love Molly and Braxx!!! Molly is a blind anthropologist and she has the opportunity to go study a society of people that Braxx discovered. However, before she leaves her assistant gets some bad news and can't go on the trip. Molly can't go without her because she acts as her "eyes." Braxx is already taken with Molly so he offers to escort her and stay with her during her 3 month study.
During this time, Molly and Braxx have to follow the people's expected customs and in doing so they become very close. Also, there is another male that wants to claim Molly for her own.
In addition to that drama, Braxx is trying to make sure Molly doesn't find out about the horrible scars that cover one half of his face. He thinks that since she is blind she won't be able to see the scars and judge him based on that. He has a difficult past that he can't get over.
He needs Molly to help him overcome his fears and his past.

Molly is used to traveling to other places and learning about other cultures so she takes everything in stride and tries her hardest not to offend anyone by not following customs. I loved the chemistry between her and Braxx and I loved her no nonsense, straight to the point attitude. Molly is the most generous and loving person and she proves that many times. I cried at one point toward the end, but it was a happy cry. This is just such a great book. Plus, we get to see some of our favorite characters from previous books in a brief cameo appearance.

Good addition to the Kindred universe

by Mumto2girls

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this story through Booksprout. I really like these shorter length Kindred stories and Molly and Braxx were a wonderful character. Molly was strong and independent and a perfect match for the protective, and damaged alphamale, Braxx. I think he is one of my favourite Kindred heroes which is saying something as I have read them ALL! Molly did not allow her blindness to hinder her in any way and I so loved that about her and the sacrificial love that she displayed made her my Favourite Kindred heroine. Looking forward to the next book in this fun, sexy series.
