Emma Holland didn't expect a reply after she sent an anonymous email to her favorite author letting him know how much his books have meant to her, but Alden Fisher surprised her. He didn't just write back, he wanted to get to know her better.

Fearful that a handsome, successful man like Alden could never be interested in a geeky fangirl like her, Emma created a fake profile to impress him. But as their relationship grew into an intimate, passionate online romance, Emma's guilt grew as well, and when her shame became too great she disappeared from social media.

But Emma is about to discover that Alden is not content to let her write the ending to this story. He is determined not only to show Emma that he fell in love with the woman behind the profile, but to give her the correction and dominance he knows she both needs and craves.

He tracks Emma down and soon she is lying over his knee for the intense, painful spanking she has needed for so long.

Though she is shocked by Alden's sudden return to her life, his firm discipline and loving guidance give Emma confidence she has never had before, and being claimed properly by him at last is better than she ever dreamed. But when a secret from his past threatens to tarnish Alden's reputation, will the ensuing scandal destroy the bond Emma has built with the man who changed her life first with his books and then with his belief in her?

sweet yet spicy

by Ashley Magruder

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review...Alden and Emma's relationship was very interesting in the beginning... Emma didn't expect to hear back from him but he did write back but many authors don't write back to their fans especially in that capacity... I think he was i I think he was infatuated with her at the very beginning... I think it was very interesting as the book went on and how things progressed... I loved how dominant he became over her towards the end of the book it showed how much he cared for her... but I'm not going to give any more awa but I'm not going to give any more way you got to read the book in order to get more details...

Who Mastered Who?

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Emma has led a very rough and quiet life. One day she reads a book that will change her forever. She decides to email the author, Alden Fisher, to let him know that the book saved her life. Emma never thought that he would email her back but he did. So she pretends to be someone else and now she is in a long distant relationship with Alden. That is until he wants to meet her in person so she ends it by not showing up.

Alden is a very reserved person. He likes to keep to himself. That changes when he receives an email from a fan. He feels a connection to this fan. He thinks things are going good for them and they are heading in the right direction. But then the rug is pulled out from under him. What will he do?

Alden is not going to sweep this under the rug and move on. He is determined to find his mystery woman, Emma. Alden does just that and she is half way around the world. Now that he has found her he doesn't plan on letting her go. But things are going to good for them and Alden past soon catches up with him and could tear them apart. Will this secret destroy what these two are starting to create with each other?

This is my first time reading anything by this author and I loved it. I could not put this book down once I started reading it. I like the way the characters developed together. And the sex scenes was hot and steamy. I can't wait to another book by Ava. I recommend this book to others.

Ava Sinclair has found the formula to write books that I can’t help but love.

The dominant and the submissive dynamic is just enough to hit the spot but not overwhelming g as it is in other books. There is true romance and love throughout. Emma and Alden were wonderful. I can’t wait to see what else Ava has written and will write. Highly recommend to those who are curious about BDSM as an intro. Happy reading!

A Quick Read

by Janirasa

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

A great, and somewhat quick book to read, its pace is pretty good, and for girls who are slightly geeks this book is a good one to show that even if you are not that blonde blue eyed classic beauty, you are still a beauty in your own way, and not let anyone to tell you different! This book was a good representation of that. and the writing is pretty good with occasional typo, but by now thats the norm for these ebooks, so that really isn't a downside for any book, or this one for that matter. So I highly recommend that if you want a quickie romance this is the book you need to read!

DOM & Sub

by MJM2003

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Not at all like the Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks romance on emailing. This is a romance but in some ways a relationship between a dom and sub that he discovers through her email. When she ends their passionate online relationship he sets out to show her how much she means to him and his love s well as put in some strong discipline for disappearing on him. A real page turner

Another outstanding book by Ava Sinclair, she is vastly becoming one of my go to author's.

The characters are enjoyable to read about and the chemistry between them is A.MA.ZING. This book is well written and has you begging for the next page to come quicker so you know what happens next. I love how Ava is able to make the reader feel like they are the ones in the stotu , that it is their panties getting wet not the character. Love, love, love. Can't wait for the next book.

I'm a fan!

This book started out hot and only got better! Emma was such a perfect character. I loved how she was so confident in some things and so insecure in others. It made her so like-able. She was a sweet innocent seeming character, without being a virgin. Alden was the perfect counterpoint. He was dominant without being a jerk. He was sensitive and intuitive. It had me rooting for them from the start. I loved the plot and the flow of the story. It never felt rushed or fake. The character's actions were believable with their personalities, but there was still growth happening. It had the perfect HEA! I laughed and felt the sorrow right along with Emma and Alden, and I didn't want the story to end. It was a winner in every way.

Adults only. The title summs the story up quite neatly.

by Shoshanahlila

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review, read using TTS accommodations.
Cautions: Adults only. M/f dominance, flashbacks to previous childhood abuse, mental health issues.

Good plot with interesting characters. A shy dominant writer finds his match and lures her out of her shell created by previous abuse as a child who found her escape in books. As an adult, Emma is still more at home with people given life on a page rather than in the flesh, so it is no surprise she finds a way to make her love of books work for her. One heartfelt, and she thinks, anonymous thank you letter to her favorite author rings an answering chord in the author and he decides to pursue his fan-girl in this wishful read. Elements of cause-play and fairy tales are used by the lovers to weave the two into a couple verses the world. Their romance is a bit of dream-scape verses "reality" and is nicely done with the couple referencing scenes from "their story" as an almost secret language between the two. Enjoyed the story that is the fantasy of many a fan-girl out there. Thanks for the trip.

She thought all was deleted

by Marlene D.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This book is about Emma, an avid reader, introverted and shy with few friends but a talent of art design. She wrote a letter to a favorite author, Alden Fisher, explaining how his books had helped and inspired her. To her shock, he wrote back and they continued corresponding, eventually developing an internet and phone relationship. She was not using her correct name or picture and on the eve of their meeting in person, she deleted her profile, all information, scrapped the cell phone she bought to talk to him and returned to her dreary life...she thought. Meanwhile he researched and found her, not surprised by her duplicity. He bought a house near where she lived and contacted the firm she worked at to design a new cover for his latest book, wanting her in particular as project head. Of course she was shocked when she saw him and tried to get another on the project, but when her boss threatened to fire her over declining to work with Alden, she went and talked to him. He agreed that they would work together, but she must first come to his home where he could administer her punishment. No spoilers, but she does go and he turns her thinking about herself around and eventually has a happily ever after.

Good Read

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Emma is a smart but insecure woman who gets into an anonymous relationship with her favorite author. She is shocked when months later he shows up at her office requesting her to handle his new book launch. Shurely he can't figure out she is the same as his mystery woman from months ago right? This book is hot as Emma unlocks her desires to submit.

Catfishing the Dom

by S Lange

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

We get introduced to Emma and Alden as they are having a steamy master sub conversation over the phone. Emma lives in America and Alden lives in London. After the phone conversation Emma is in tears as we are now privy that she has been “Catfishing” Alden. She created a fake Facebook profile and used someone else’s photo to get to know her favorite author. After the conversation and the promised face-to-face Emma is riddled with guilt and deletes her Facebook page, and any other way for Alden to contact her. She figures that the pain she feels now is deserved punishment for having lied to Alden in the first place.

Alden has discovered her true identity and is now in the US. Emma gets the shock of her life when her “Catfish” is standing in her office in person. She feels that she is safe as she had used someone else’s photo and he couldn’t possibly know it was she. Emma soon discovers that Alden has come to America specifically for her and he is aware of who she really is.

There are shades of another well-known book that was made into a movie in this story. As I have neither read that book nor watched the movie I am unaware of how closely they may parallel. Most of my comparisons to this story are from the advertisements and over heard conversations. She’s a young ingénue, he took her to a masked ball, there is a secret room and someone from his past appears and is trying to cause havoc.

Emma has had rough childhood and is still dealing with self-esteem issues from her damaged past. While brilliant in her work life, her personal life is very sheltered and solitary. She became fascinated with Alden when a story he had written helped her deal with some of her personal demons and allowed her to feel connected. She had written him a letter and was surprised when he had responded. They began corresponding and her lack of self esteem lead her to believe he would not be interested in the real her and she used a photo of her old college roommate for her Facebook profile pic

Alden is sympathetic to Emma but is not above using a bit of blackmail to get her to become his submissive. Alden like Emma is an introvert despite being a Dom. He likes to keep his private life private. While Alden is not above using his public fame to get his way in many areas, he never uses that with Emma. With Emma we see a man appreciating the hidden qualities of a very shy and vulnerable woman. He allows her to fall in love with herself. Once Emma does this we see a wonderful transformation from shy and insecure person into a confident woman that stands up for herself.

There are parts of the book that seems out of character for the female lead towards the end and another one of the characters. Maybe the author wanted a different take with her ending having the female being the one that does the rescuing? As with most of these intense short stories the endings always come across rushed. Then again people want to know what happens at the end of the story so the author has to crunch it all in to give the HEA.
A mid length explicitly hot story that is worth a read. The two lead characters are fully developed. There are a few weak areas in the book but not enough to derail you from enjoying the story.

5/5 Stars! Fangirling to the extreme - and she got more than she bargained for!

by K S Banks

Our heroine, Emma, is a shy and introverted art/graphic designer who is more comfortable immersed in her world of books. She's emotionally damaged due to previous abuse and buries herself in the words of her favorite author, Alden Fisher. He is a Dominant male, but also an introvert.
This mesmerizing story of "fangirling" to the point of creating a false identity, and the twists and turns of online romance, becoming overwhelmed by the intensity of her feelings & emotions for this elusive author, and secrets from his past will keep the reader on the edge of their seat! And the sizzling dominance and sexual tension, both online & in person, will keep the reader squirming! The actual sex scenes will have the cold shower running on full blast!
As always, this author writes well fleshed-out characters and an intriguing storyline that the reader can totally relate to.
I was allowed to read this book for an honest review and can't recommend it enough!
