Sixty country days and sixty country nights—that’s all I wanted.

I needed to get away from the city, away from the hot mess that had become my life.

When I stumbled upon my childhood home on RentBnB.com, I took it as a sign, cleaned out my life savings, and hightailed it to the only place that ever meant something to me, a place I hadn’t seen since a lifetime ago.

Only when I arrived to the familiar South Dakotan farmhouse, I was met by a brooding, we-don’t-take-kindly-to-strangers cowboy by the name of River McCray, who insisted this was his house and most definitely not a rental property.

I’d been internet scammed.

And that cocky, smart-mouthed stranger had the nerve to make me a humiliating offer: I could stay in his house for the next two months rent-free, but I had to work for him.

He’d be my boss. And my roommate.

With no money and nowhere else to go, I agreed. But nothing could have prepared me for the tension, the attraction, and the bombshell revelation that changed … everything.

Learning to love again isn't always easy.

by Stephanie Ditmore

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I really enjoyed this book. Leighton and River, wow just amazing. This book is full of heartbreak, hope, second chances and love. Leighton has been living a good life, love, a wonderful boyfriend until she finds out he’s cheating. Bursting her happy bubble, she needs to figure things out and heads to her old childhood home only to find out that River now owns that house. He’s rude, and short with her. All she wants is time to regroup and after noticing something about her, he agrees to let her stay as long as she helps out. Will they be able to live in the same house together and stay platonic? Can they begin to rebuild trust and start to move on from their pasts? Loved the book, I love anything by Winter! One-click it, you won’t be disappointed.

Absolutely fantastic!!!

I'm overwhelmed by how much I LOVE this story! The characters, the emotions, the sweetness, the pain.... it all grabbed me, pulled me in so deep I didn't want it to be over. Leighton and River have this slow building connection, so many things from their past.... just WOW! I've also added South Dakota as a dream vacation spot. I'm a country girl and the farm and the activities felt so real. Wiping tears and happy smiles, this is no doubt, my favorite Winter Renshaw book.

I really enjoyed this book, I think Winter dId a great job writing this book. The storyline was good and I loved how the story flowed. The book has so much to offer to make it an entertaining read. It's sweet, steamy, it has humor and it's filled with emotions too. I thought Winter did a great job creating the characters as well. They are very lovable and have personalities that you can resignate with. The chemistry between them is off the charts as well. Overall this is a wonderful read and definitely worth purchasing.

Leighton and River

by Anonymous

Leighton’s life was going according to plan until it exploded when she finds her long time boyfriend has been cheating her. She needs to regroup and fate seems to be in her corner as she finds a listing to rent the childhood homes that remembers from a happier time until life kicks her in the butt again when the home she paid to rent was actually a scam and someone lives there.

River owns Leighton’s own home however he is not in a good place and is rude and abrupt. His nicer side emerges when he sees Leighton’s dilemma and offers to let her stay as long as she works around the home.

There is an instant connection between them and as they live together they learn about each other’s past and what events have formed them into the people that they are today. Will they be able to open up and trust each other or are they in for worse heartbreak than they have already suffered?

This is another amazing story by this author and the characters that she creates are second to none. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

OMG! This book had me from the get go. Her fiancé, the man she'd been with for the past few years, has changed, he's no longer the man she knew and loved. In his place is a self-centered jerk who thinks nothing of her as he used to. Leighton sees a text message from one of his lady co-workers and has the answers she'd been wondering about. She decides to pack up and leave. Her childhood home is up for rent on HomeBnB and she decides to take off for there. Things aren't as she thinks when she arrives. This is another good story written by this author. I loved it!

How Amazing This Book Is

by April R Symes

I just have to say it-Winter Renshaw writes some pretty AWESOME heroes!!! This is another phenomenal story with some great characters. The first couple pages tell us what the heroine had been going thru - Leighton thought she had it all under it all fell down in one swoop (successful lawyer boyfriend since college, non-challenging job at an art gallery ) which is when she catches him cheating- by way of sext from another woman that pops up on his phone and other things that added up and he didn’t even bother to try and deny it. So Leighton clears out her things and takes a trip and ends up back where she lived when she was younger , where she lived where everything was good until her father was killed in a hit and run. But that too ends up going downhill for her when someone scammed her out of money that she thought she paid for a stay in her old home. This is where she meets River…
River McCray is the new owner of Leighton’s old home and well, he is one ornery son of a gun. He is rude, doesn’t listen and goes his own way. But he feels sort of bad for what has befallen Leighton so he lets her stay in his farm IF she works for her keep. There is a chemistry there between them that they both fight. Which leads to a temporary truce. I don’t want to give this story away but OMG this is such an emotional read and it has many twists that I definitely didn’t see coming. There are things that shaped River into the man he is today, things like betrayal, regret and guilt –He finally gives Leighton his Trust but was he right to do so? Will she regret letting him into her life? There is passion and they develop this intense love that overcame a lot. I also enjoyed the secondary cast of characters that helped shaped this story into the powerhouse that it is.
At the end of the story, there is a blurb by the author that she talks about the inspiration for this story and I loved how she used this for her story. I could really feel this story took place from her memories and tell this was happy times for her. I was so glad I could “see” her memories and that she shared these with the readers. This is what makes Ms. Renshaw a phenomenal author, the ability to have readers feel your memories and that is surely what I did. This is a book you must read. I hope she writes more books from this town. I loved reading about Leighton and River –hope we get to meet more townspeople.

She decides to get out of town. She ends up back in her old home town & is going to stay at her childhood home that is supposed to be a B&B. It is not a B&B & she has been scammed out of her money. The owner of the house, River, makes a deal with her to let her stay there in exchange of working for him. River has his guard up. Will he learn to trust her? Will they both stop deigning their feels for each other? This book was very well written by Winter Renshaw.

Country Nights Review

by Lexi A.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I can honestly say that Country Nights was a really great read for me. I love a story with a "wounded" Hero and River McCray is definitely a wounded soul and Leighton Hart just may be the salve that can heal those wounds but she has to be able to break down Rivers walls. Leighton herself is going through some things so that is another bump in the road for these two, but in the end maybe just maybe they can heal each other! I couldn't put it down I just had to know how it would end!

A change of pace

I think I really liked this book. The characters had great chemistry, the story was believable, and the relationships are consistent. The family and personal relationships are realistic. You can see the angst.

Fantastic story!!

by Wendy Livingstone

When Leighton discovery that she is being cheated on, she decides to pack up and go, and she ends up being internet conned into renting her old family home. River is the owner of her home, and he is a loner plus rude, but underneath, has a well hidden heart of gold. These two are attracted to each other, but can the past be let go? No spoilers you really need to read this amazing novel for yourself, you will not be disappointed!!
Once again Winter has written a phenomenal story, which has secrets, lies, heartbreak, and is a fun and sexy read. This awesome author’s talent knows no bounds, and I was hooked and intrigued throughout. I highly recommend this authors work for all readers.

I enjoyed reading this book. It lacked the predictability of most romance novels. Everything and everyone was intertwined and I enjoyed unraveling the mystery

Its always good to come home....

by Sabrina

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I've read quite a few books by this author and I loved that she stepped out a bit and decided to write a cowboy romance...it was sweet it was light and very enjoyable to read. When Leighton abruptly ends her engagement to her cheating controlling ex she takes a sabitical from work and decides to travel back to the hometown she grew up in Bonecreek. All is well until a sexy cowboy answers the door of her old childhood home which she's supposed to be renting instead of the realtor. It takes a few minutes to realise she's been duped!! With nowhere to go and her entire down payment for rent loss, River the sexy cowboy insists she stay with him in lieu for help with chores around the farm! Seems like a splendid idea but the problem is River is always grumpy and in a foul mood. One day she uncovers the reason behind Rivers foul mood. She slowly starts to fall for him but then a horrible secret rears its head from the past and Leighton blames River. She does the only thing she knows well..she run....again. Will Leighton come back ? Will the real truth be exposed? I life he this book! Another splendid romance with a HEA

This book was so many things. It was emotional and deep. The characters were amazingly written (I loved their names) and they had this chemistry you can not deny. Winter Renshaw is a favorite of mine and this book is the perfect example of why. It draws you in sucks you dry of all the feels and then gives you the worst book hangover ever (for the best reasons obviously ) . I couldn't put it down.

Everything happens for a reason!!

by Laurel

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This book was so amazing. I hate the tragedy it begin with but because of that tragedy everything happens for a reason and river and Lieghton got their happily ever after and I couldn't be even more happy about the ending of this book. Winter you do an amazing job of capturing the motion of all of your characters but what river went through and how he was able to bounce back once he opened his heart again with such a wonderful story. I love how Leighton had a wonderful childhood and was able to come back to her hometown. This book has it all, I laughed almost cried smiled a lot and felt every emotion that they went through to get to where they ended. If you're looking for a good summer book to read with a happily ever after, this will be my first pick

Holy Revelations!!

Oh Winter Renshaw, how I love thee!? I mean seriously, any time a book of hers comes to my kindle, life is paused, work is irrelevant, sleep is nonexistent, food will come if I have time. Country Nights is steamy and emotional, with a side of sweet. Leighton just needed a getaway from her mess of a life. She never would've expected when she met handsomely broody River McCray he'd be someone she'd find herself falling for. Despite his cold exterior, he still manages to somehow steal her heart. But, there's a secret between these two and when it is revealed: O.M.G., please be prepared to pick your jaw up off the ground. The blurb had me on pins and needles waiting for all to be revealed but I.Just.Wasn't.Ready! I received a copy from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest and unbiased review.
