Melody
Absolutely ridiculous!

Who does Mr. I'm-so-hot Prince think he is? It's like he summoned every single girl in the kingdom to come bow down to him.

I can't be the only one that thinks this is ridiculous.

He can't even walk through the room without each woman he passes trying to get his attention.

Yup, I'm the only one. Unbelievable.

I wish I could wipe that smug grin off his gorgeous face.

Do they not know who he is?
Have they not read the tabloids?
It's amazing that he can keep his pants on with all these women so willing to take them off.

The worst part? He won't leave me alone. The more I ignore him, the more he demands my attention.

I need to get out before I do something stupid. Something stupid like agree to his ridiculous deal...

Richard
I shouldn't have to be here. All these fake smiles are enough to drive a man insane.

How could the queen, my mother, think this is a good idea? I've never even kept a woman around until sunrise, and now she wants me to marry one? Right.

But, she's not off her rocker. Not this time.

There's a lot riding on this. A lot more than the public knows. They think I'm just some playboy demanding the attention of every available woman. They think I'm here to satisfy my own urges.

They couldn't be farther from the truth.

I just hope I choose the right one.

I want a Prince!

I loved it! Kinda like The Bachelorette meets The Prince & Me (starring Julia Stiles) that's how I pictured it in my mind. I loved Melody! I appreciated how she stayed true to herself & didn't fawn all over Rick. It's crazy that she questioned herself (because I knew she was the one) but I'm glad she made him come after her.
I really didn't want this book to end. I hope there will be a part two or maybe give Anna her own story & man because she's got me worried.

Good story

by CharityB

I received an ARC of this book and I am glad I read it. It was a good story with good characters. I finished it in one day. My only problem was that is was advertised as erotic but to me it fell short of that category. You could say steamy romance maybe.

"I was looking for a soulmate."

by Indie Editor Nancy

I received a free copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review via Booksprout.Prince Richard needs a wife really quick, as his father is dying, and to keep his uncle from taking over the throne. Richard has enjoyed his freedom and spending time with woman, but really does not want to settle down with just any woman.

"The palace may have been searching for a princess, but I was looking for a soulmate."

Melody is a beautiful young woman fresh out of college who is looking to start her career, not settle down and have babies. But when these two meet, something happens and Richard knows he has found his future wife. Melody is not so sure though.

"His Royal Highness, Prince Richard, was a dick. A heartless, thoughtless, annoying, dick. It was no wonder he wasn't married, he wouldn't be able to fool a woman that he was worth it for as long as an engagement entailed."

"He played me like a fiddle. Rick knew what he was doing to me and he just kept going until I physically wanted him more than the air I breathed."

This was a fun and interesting read, the characters were likable and as a reader you can't help cheering them on. Melody was quite the downer always assuming she was not in the running and I got kinda tired of that. But all in all, time well spent on this romantic royalty story.

Cinderella meets the royal version of the Bachelor!

by Kuuipo's Kinky Book Reviews

This book is definitely about "you always want what you can't have" and Prince Richard wants Melody, who absolutely wants nothing to do with him, no matter how much he pursues her. Prince Richard's mother, the Queen, has sent out notices to select eligible single women of the country in the hopes of finding a wife for her son. There are two reasons for this--first, the King is in poor health and Prince Richard needs to be married in order to takeover as King should the worst happen; and second, she feels her son is too old to be a playboy any longer and she would like grandchildren! The goal is to start with a large pool of women, and after several events, that pool will get smaller and smaller, until the Prince is able to find that perfect woman...tell me that doesn't sound like the TV show the Bachelor?!

But one woman in particular would rather be anywhere else besides stuck at the palace, fawning all over a man she can't stand, and that is Melody. Melody's goal in life is to help those in need, and not act as a spoiled Princess locked in a castle. When Melody rebuff's Richard's advances, he sees her as a challenge that he wants to win. While she is trying to get kicked out of the competition, Richard is doing his damnedest to keep her in it. What will it take to get her out of this?

Leila has a knack for writing a great story with twists and turns, humor, and of course some steamy scenes, and this book was no exception. I love the banter between Melody and Richard, as well as laughing at the antics of the other woman vying to be the next Princess. There are parts that will make you love Rick, and other parts where you'll wish you could just slap the hell out of him. Melody is a woman after my own heart with not being afraid to state her opinion no matter who she's talking to. Great story!

An age old story of a playboy who must give up his wild life, settle down and marry. Ms. Havens treatment was a switch up and made this story a pleasant read.
Suffice to say, I will buy and read more from this author.

Royal Playboy (The Prince's Choice Series, Book One)

by TiffanyS.

The storyline for Royal Playboy read kind of like a royal version of The Bachelor television show with the prince on a quest to find a wife. Overall I liked the story. I liked how Prince Richard went for the independent and opinionated Melody over the "giggles at everything" fake girls. One thing I didn't like was that he referred to Melody's breasts as boobs (many times). I know that's what they are, it just seemed a little immature for a royal prince. In the end, that was a minor thing and I would definitely read book two.

Very much Reluctant Prince and Princess in the making. Richard doesn't want to be looking for a possible princess, but due to circumstances he must abide by his parents request. Of course this means balls and meals and meets with possibilities of ladies to be chosen. Majority wants him until he meets Melody.

Melody is a fun female, she knows what she wants and it's not being with the other ladies vying for a Prince. After all his media portrayed lifestyle of a playboy is not for her, until he singles her out and shows she is exactly what he wants.

What follows is quick witted encounters, steamy kisses and more between these two as the lady tries to talk the prince out of choosing her.

An enjoyable, fluffy read.

When I read the blurb for Royal Playboy, I knew from the start it would be a Cinderella type story and I was okay with that. I assumed it would be a grown up version. Not so much. It started out too cheesy. The commoners are summoned and the handsome p

Prince Falls for a Commoner

by Anonymous

Melody and all of the other eligible young women in the Kingdom of Illium are summoned to meet Prince Richard so that he can choose a suitable wife. Melody would rather be doing anything else other than meeting a prince who is known as spoiled and promiscuous. Richard is intrigued by her and does whatever he can to keep her around. They both end up caring for each other, but if they continue to hide their true feelings it could jeopardize their chances at having a genuine relationship.

Richard is drawn to the fact that Melody is witty and seems to be unphased with his royal status. The more she disregards him, the more he wants her. Even though Melody doesn't want to take part in some competition to woo the prince, she can't control the fact that she is deeply attracted to him. There was a lot of back and forth between the protagonists but it became tedious after awhile. There were supporting characters, but they weren't fully fleshed out and none of them appeared to be a real threat to the union of Melody and Richard.
