K. P. Redmond is the author of three science fiction books in the Straker’s Life series: Dust and Deception, Human Enough, and Split. His newest novel, Forbidden Machines, is written in the steampunk genre and is nearing publication.
Redmond has worked as a construction worker in the Florida sun, an actor in dinner theaters, a truck driver, and a guitarist in smoky bars. When he finally grew up, he worked for 32 years as an electrical engineer and software engineer in the aerospace industry, first on fighter planes, then unmanned spacecraft, and finally in human space flight. Redmond has degrees in Finance, Electrical Engineering, and Telecommumications. He recently retired from aerospace to pursue his long-time writing avocation. Redmond remains an avid guitarist and has recently taken up the fiddle. He thinks the fiddle is very very very very hard.
He currently lives in Colorado with his attractive if somewhat cat-lusting engineer wife. He has two grown children: a son in the medical data field, and a daughter who flies crazy big airplanes for the US Air Force.
