Hi, I’m Emma. I’m from a small town in Wisconsin, from where at a young age, my imagination could flourish from my living on my family’s farm. Growing up, I read whatever books I could get my hands on, from history books to Lord of the Rings. Finally, at thirteen, I read the book that changed my life—Les Miserables. As soon as I had finished it, I had an itch, an itch that grew into a passion. I had to write a book of my own.
Where Demons Dance is my debut novel, however, I have already written several books in a wide variety of genres, spanning from fantasy, to romance, to historical fiction to psychological thrillers. I hope to publish all of these in due time!
Writing has always been my escape from reality. I’ve always been able to ‘write in my head’, and plot out and envision scenes happening, much like you’d replay a movie scene in your mind and go back and write them down later. It can make the most boring of situations very interesting.
Apart from writing, I have a deep love of history, specifically in the 19th and 20th century and do research when I can—just to get lost in the time period. I love music, and love to collect and listen to vinyl records. (Yes, The Beatles are my favorite.) My dog, Chewie, never leaves my side and he makes a great dancing partner!
