Cheree Finley was born in Flowood, Mississippi in 1988. She developed a passion for reading early in life. Some of her favorite books as a child were The Secret of the Attic, Magic Treehouse, and The Box Car Children. Along with enjoying reading, she was always intrigued by science. She obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Alcorn State University and a few years later began her career as a medical laboratory scientist. Although many people do not understand what a medical laboratory scientist does, they are actually vital to the health care community because they perform tests to aid doctors in diagnosing patients. Understanding the importance of serving as a beacon for the medical laboratory science community, Cheree obtained a Master of Science degree from the University of Southern Mississippi where she not only furthered her knowledge but connected with others who shared her interest. Cheree’s first children’s book, WBC Club, was born from the desire for people to understand how intriguing her job and the human body truly are. Her hobbies include reading, cooking, swimming, traveling, crafting, and willingness to explore new things.
