Carole Brungar is a multiple award-winning novelist and publisher whose novels have attracted international acclaim. A Tide Too High, her debut, was a finalist in the First Coast Romance Writers National Excellence in Romantic Fiction Awards in both Best First Book and Best Fiction with Romantic Elements categories. It was also a finalist in the Romance Writers of New Zealand Koru Award for Best First Book.
Her second novel, The Nam Legacy, won The California Dreamin’ Writers, California Hooker Contest for best opening chapter in a novel. Her novel The Nam Shadow won a gold medal in the Independent Publisher Book Awards (IPPY), in the Australia/New Zealand/Pacific Rim category. The IPPY Awards recognise and reward excellence in publishing. Her Vietnam series have been described as powerful, gritty and authentic, and also evocative, disturbing and beautifully told.
Carole has a Bachelor of Communication, majoring in Communication Management and Journalism. She manages a college library and is currently working on the final two novels in the Vietnam series. She lives in Horowhenua with her husband and two ageing cats.
