“A person who publishes a book willfully appears before the populace with his pants down.” – Edna St. Vincent Millay.
I was born on the Canadian prairies and grew up during the settling of the dust from the 2nd World War. I fell in love with the books in the cupboard (the library) of a one-room school house and carried that love in my book sack through many careers. However, it took the diagnosis of a serious illness to bring me to my senses and to my passion.
I, now, spend my days and a lot of nights rearranging 26 letters of the alphabet – they call it writing.
I prefer to write Fiction, Romance, Contemporary, but I read eclectically. L.M. Montgomery describes me to a T: “I am simply a book drunkard.”
My fictional characters are great truth teachers: they help me get to know myself; they help me accept who I am.
They tell me that I’m a little odd and a lot imperfect, and they push me to be interesting.
