I'm a scientist, author, cosplayer, screenwriter, film producer, and so much more. After getting a PhD in astronomy, I abandoned academia and move to L.A. to become a screenwriter. Although my career change was unsuccessful, the affirmation that I had options in life saved me from a suicidal depression. I now live in Maryland with my three cats, work on weather satellites by day, and by night split my time between writing, theater, and other hobbies. My first book is dedicated to those who suffer invisible illness, in acknowledgment of my battle with depression and the battles I see my friends go through with invisible illnesses, both physical and mental. The New Dawn series is built on the theme that there is hope for tomorrow.
