Karen Grzenda was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
She found her love for dogs at the young age of two years old in St. Bernards that lived across the street from her childhood home.
Karen's passion for canines has taken her down the roads of assisting in rescues, training, and partaking actively in many dog sports in her lifetime.
After spending most of her career in the financial sector, Karen took a step away and started what she thought would be a simple journal to remember Gunner, a dog that changed her life. This journal took a life of it's own and became her first self published novel, Heart Dog - Gunner's Story.
Today, Karen and her husband Tim, reside in the inter lake community of Petersfield, Manitoba, just north of the city she where she was raised. They enjoy their time together making memories with their two Dobermans, Liar and Blaze.
