About the author

Donna Munrois the indie author of contemporary women’s fiction ‘The Zanzibar Moon’ and ‘Kendwa’s Secret’. ‘Elephant Creek’ is due for release in 2020. Though the three books are a series, each is stand-alone.

She is a lover of stories with strong romantic element and plenty of heat. “If it doesn’t get me squirming (in a good way) the writing isn’t doing its job.”

Her love of writing began in primary school with ‘The Mouse with the Musical Ears’. It’s a story long-lost. It is currently being re-written- a foray into children’s literature.

Donna is a prolific freelance writer who has been featured in national magazines like ‘The Australian Women’s Weekly’, ‘Woman’s Day’, ‘Club Life’, as well as book-length collaborations and anthologies. Her first big gig was editor/writer for surf lifestyle magazine ‘Wax ‘n’ Wind’ in the late 80s. She currently works as Administrative Officer for Romance Writers of Australia. A woman of many creative talents, her choice, outside publishing is finding old furniture and revamping it.

Favourite hero: Tarzan. Favourite MC: Skeeter in ‘The Help’. Favourite all-time book: ‘A Man Cannot Cry’ by Goria Keverne. Favourite recent book: ‘Country at Heart’ by Mandy Magro. Favourite place: Home. Favourite place to write: Home office. Favourite Vices: Peanut Butter and too much sunshine. Favourite food: Peanut Butter. Favourite other thing: Fitness and health.

Today, Donna lives on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia with her husband of 30 years (yes, her own HEA romance), youngest son and a neurotic Staffy (writer’s sidekick). She’s a mum to three strapping men, and a nana. No one in the family gets the writing gig but they support it.

You’ll often find her on a beach with her toes in the sand and a book in her hand. Motto: There is power in combining knowledge and imagination.
